When is the RSVP deadline?
Timely favor of your reply is requested. Please complete your RSVP online with your meal selection for each guest named on your formal invitation. Your plated dinner selection will be prepaid & seating assignments will be determined 30 days in advance. Regrettably we may not be able to accommodate guests who have not responded by March 24th, 2024. If you need assistance with your online RSVP, please contact us.
Can I bring a guest?
We are extending the invitation to named attendees on the invitation only. We wish we could accommodate all of our family & friends with a guest, but due to limited resources & our desire for a more intimate celebration, we are unable to include additional guests.
We will be sure to seat you with people you know & love!
Is there a dress code?
We are asking all of our guests to attend in either semi-formal or cocktail attire.
Can I bring my children?
We absolutely love all of your kids (we are teachers after all), but we would like for our celebration to be an adult only affair. We can only accommodate children of our immediate family. We humbly request that you make arrangements for your children to give all of our guests a chance to enjoy & celebrate without worrying about little eyes & ears. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you & hope you can understand.
Will the event be indoors or outdoors?
The cocktail hour will be outside (weather permitting) and the reception will be held in the ball room. The weather is usually very nice in the month of April. The temperature averages a high of 73 and a low of 64 this time of the year.
Are there hotels near the venue?
Yes. When reserving hotel room blocks, we only considered hotels that were within 5 miles of the venue so that our guests would have accommodations nearby. Please refer to the travel section for hotels that will offer a special rate for reservations made by 3/26/2024.
What transportation options are available from the hotel to the venue?
Uber & Lyft are both readily available from the hotel to the venue & back. The hotels we arranged a block of rooms are within 5 miles from the venue. If you are staying at the Aloft Richardson (Marriott) hotel, round-trip shuttle service will be provided from the hotel to the venue and back subject to schedule availability. Please refer to the travel section for additional details. The venue will have ample parking if you are the designated driver. The venue does not allow vehicles to be left overnight.
What about the wedding ceremony?
It is our wish to have a very small intimate wedding ceremony earlier in the day with only our parents, siblings, & grandparents.
Our day would not be complete without all of our family & friends celebrating with us at our wedding reception as the new Mr. & Mrs. Davis. This will be the first day of our new life together as husband and wife.
Do you have a wedding registry?
Your presence at our celebration is the greatest gift of all. If you want to honor us with a gift, a monetary gift to our Home Down Payment Fund would be the ideal gift as it would help us to buy our own place. We do not have room for traditional wedding gifts as we are definitely limited on space.
We are saving up for our first home - a place we hope to create lasting memories. We envision a house we can turn into a home, with a back porch to sip our coffee on, space for our crazy cats to run around, and a playroom for our future kids.
Should you wish to honor us with a gift and best wishes, a wishing well will be available at the reception. If you prefer the convenience of accessing a digital wishing well, that option is available here on the website once you RSVP. Most importantly, your love & support mean so much to us.
Will there be any other wedding events?
We have reserved an area at the Aloft Richardson (Marriott) for guests who want to extend the evening celebration at a casual after party Friday evening following the reception. In our absence, some late-night appetizers will be provided. You will have the opportunity to purchase wine, beer, & spirits at our group discounted rate of $7 for call drinks & $10 for premium drinks.
